Artist’s Statement:
As The Climate Crisis worsens and dangerous weather events increase in frequency, women and girls live in precarity and become the most vulnerable due to their roles in society. Many of my works reference women’s issues and are pieced together as workers in sweatshops would do.
I approached Ephemeral Regions as a monotype to take advantage of the transitory and unpredictable nature of the medium. The faded landscape was added using Chine Colle and archival paste run through the press.
